Frankincense is an air-dried, coarse-grained rubber resin with a brown-yellow to reddish-brown colour. It comes from frankincense trees. How much incense can be obtained from each tree depends on the size, condition of the tree and how old it is. Ethiopia, Sudan, Eritrea and the southern region of Arabia are the main suppliers of frankincense.
