Description
Whether pesto or pasta, basil is no longer an Italian cuisine secret. This herb has become one of the staples for tomato sauces but many be used in a variety of ways. Tips & Preparation:
The flavor and scent of basil awakens the longing of the South. This is however not unfounded - basil is a constant companion of tomatoes, insalatas and pestos. It also perfectly suits pasta dishes, fish and seafood as well as flavorful pizzas. Tip: add to dishes shortly before serving as basil loses some of its flavor when added during the cooking process.
