Description
The country of origin of the cress is in Persia. The Romans brought the garden cress to Europe. Watercress is rich in vitamins A, B1, B2, C and D, and furthermore it contains iron, calcium and folic acid.
Sprouts are also used in addition to mayonnaise, cheese and egg dishes or simply as a garnish on buttered bread. The strong flavor of the sprouts make them perfect for seasoning.
