German packaging: Bio Weisstannenhonig
- Silver fir honey differs significantly from other types of honey in that the bees (from strictly organic beekeeping) do not collect any nectar for this speciality. Instead, this honey is made from the honeydew drops that form on the pine needles of the silver fir trees. The bees swarm out to the Black Forest of Germany to collect the honeydew needed for the honey. In addition to the strong, bold flavour and dark colour, the honey is also characterised by the fact that it does not tend to crystallise as quickly as other types of honey.
