Description
Pinto beans owe their name to their striking, speckled appearance, in Spanish, “pinto” simply means “painted”. In the kitchen, these pretty beans transform into true texture wonders when cooked: they become wonderfully soft and take on a slightly creamy consistency.
With their pleasantly mild flavour, they are the ideal companion for everything that warms the heart and soul. Whether in a spicy Mexican stew, as a base for velvety dips, or as a texture-giving ingredient in vegetarian patties, these organic beans bring substance and a fine note to your dishes!
Preparation:
- Soak 100 g of beans in water for approx. 12 hours.
- Then cook in fresh water for 50–60 minutes.
- Only add salt at the end of the cooking time.
