Description

Birch sugar, also known as Xylitol, is the perfect alternative to conventional household sugar. Despite its full sweetening power, approx. 40% of the calories can be saved. The sugar used to be made from the fibres of the birch bark. However, it now comes from GM-free maize. Also ideal for sweetening drinks, cooking and baking with the exception of yeast dough.

Consumption recommendation:

  • Can be used like sugar.
  • Children under 3 years of age should only take birch sugar after consulting a doctor and only in small amounts.

Hints:

  • Store dry and tightly closed, protected from light and heat.
  • Filling level due to technical reasons.
  • Can have a laxative effect if consumed in excess (from 30g xylitol per serving or 50g per day).
