Papaya tea
- Papaya leaves contain papain, an enzyme that helps in the breakdown of proteins. It is made up of more than 200 amino acids and is mainly derived from the leaves and stems as well as sap of the tropical papaya plant and from the green parts of the still immature fruit.
- The ripe papaya fruit, on the other hand, contains very little papain. Using papaya leaves as a tea has been popular with indigenous Australians for a very long time.

Preparation:
Add 3 tablespoons (12 g) of papaya leaves to 1 liter of boiling water and steep overnight or simmer for half an hour. Drink one or more cups of tea daily.
